#ThisBrum GirlCan Get Fit, Active & Bloomin Healthy for Free!
Courtesy of Sport England and the ThisGirlCan campaign, Bloomin Health is putting on a one-off unique event: A Mums ‘n’ Girls FitCamp!
FRIDAY 27th MARCH 7PM-830PM @ Highfield Community Club, Hall Green, Birmingham, B28 0HS
A rare opportunity to exercise with your daughter and a fab and fun way to bond with that special girl in your life…and it doesnt have to be mum/daughter…grans, aunts, sisters, neices all welcome…as long as you are age 10 up and children under 16 are accompanied by an adult.
We will be doing some walk/jogging, skipping, hula-hooping, Bollywood and Pop Zumba, bodyweight exercises and having lots of fun! Modifications will be given for all abilities…so dont be worried if you are a beginner. Its all about trying something new.
The serious reason behind this idea is that it’s a well known fact that teenage girls have very low rates of participation in physical activity–much less, in fact, than boys of the same age. This predisposes them to significant health problems later in life and ofcourse can contribute to low levels of self-esteem and self-confidence during critical teenage years. For girls, opportunities to engage in fitness occur at school and are not always a positive experience, while most physical activity opportunities for mums are at fitness centres and gyms. Rarely is there an opportunity for daughters and mothers to exercise together and Bloomin Health wanted to bring that opportunity to Brum Girls and their mums!
IF THIS IS POPULAR WE WILL BE PUTTING ON MORE CLASSES LIKE THIS SO PLEASE DONT DELAY! Places are limited so booking is essential . Please contact us to ensure your space or for more information
