Out of our 5 steps to Bloom in Health, Food has got to be the most important. After all, every morsel that you put in your mouth becomes a part of your body. And yet, there is a huge amount of confusion around healthy food.
In our workshop we cover anti-inflammatory food, foods to reverse Diabetes, reduce weight and improve mood. And we get to grips with the most misunderstood of all nutrients – Fats.

Bloom in Birmingham 2016-2017
Bloom In Birmingham is a unique project aimed at reducing social isolation and improving the physical and mental wellbeing of women living in deprived areas of Birmingham and at risk of the greatest health inequalities. We will be working in partnership with Connecting Community Networks, who oversee the delivery of a number of much needed holistic services that have real, evidenced based wellbeing benefits for some of our most vulnerable members in the community.
Our workshops are fun, relaxed and inclusive. Each week, using the 5 steps to Bloom in Health model we will be exploring various aspects of wellbeing in individual or group activities. These supportive workshops also encourage the sharing of ideas, helpful tips and personal experiences.
We will cover:
- Learning simple techniques to manage stress and promote a sense of calm
- Mindfulness and Breathing exercises
- Gentle movement exercises to increase energy, improve posture and body awareness
- Food and its impact on wellbeing
- Increasing Happiness Levels
When ? Every Wednesday for 6 weeks from 11th January 2017 from 9:30-12pm . Light refreshments provided
